Career
My path in the industry started as a freelance translator for 4 years before moving into Project Management. I’ve worked as a PM for 5+ years before arriving at ALM, where after a year and a half, I was promoted to my current Project Lead role.
Role
I am a Project Lead, leading a team of Project Managers covering over a dozen global accounts.
Achievements to date
- Delivered 1.1 million words across 7 language pairs over 8 weeks for a key ALM account.
- Oversaw a 1.6 million-word Japanese->English project.
- Helped boost staff retention and satisfaction in my team.
- Cross-departmental collaboration to increase profit margin in a main language pair by 35%.
- Supported an increase in average monthly team Gross Profit and Operational Net over the last two years.
- On track to hitting a record revenue for this team’s accounts.
What your role brings to the business
In my role, I am leading an international team of remote and fantastic Project Managers, training and supporting them to perform at their best and deliver the best service to 15+ growing and established accounts, across 30+ workflows, and delivering over 7 million words a year.
What you enjoy outside of work
Outside work, I can be seen enjoying doing sports (mainly tennis), playing videogames, going to live music concerts, reading (currently doing a ‘Book from each country’ challenge), learning about coffee, overall learning and doing online courses, travelling and days out.
