#PressforProgress is this year’s theme for International Women’s Day on 8th March 2018.

As a business founded by two women back in 2002, ALM Translations, a successful translation and localisation company, is celebrating International Women’s Day.

On 12th March, we’ll also be celebrating 16 years’ in business, and our continued year-on-year growth and success.

We have seen a lot of changes since 2002, including the noticeable increase in the number of successful women in the localisation business, at all levels.

We are very fortunate to be part of this growing movement of successful businesswomen, but there is still a long way to go.

Even in 2018, we are still around 200 years away from gender parity, according to statistics.

What an achievement it would be to narrow this gap sooner!

We can do this if we don’t simply focus on this and related issues for one day every year.

We need to be mindful and actively aim to ensure that we continue to celebrate women’s achievements and maintain a gender parity mindset.

We’re looking forward not only to seeing the continued growth of our business, but also the positive changes that need to take place in our million-mile-an-hour world.

Today, our team is celebrating International Women’s Day with a pledge to challenge stereotypes and be mindful of gender inclusivity.
