Lisa Williams – Co-CEO


I have worked in translation for 27 years, 22 of which have been at ALM Translations. I started a as Project Manager at a well-known agency and started the business with my Co-CEO, Rachel, at 28.


I have worn many hats over the years. I am currently working as the Sales Director onboarding new clients for the business. I enjoy being involved with the Tech team and coming up with the odd suggestion albeit I leave the execution of any ideas to our expert team! I also collaborate with the Marketing and Finance teams.

Achievements to date

I am proud to have been in business for 20+ years and still enjoy working at ALM and in the industry itself.  ALM has been through recessions and a pandemic. I enjoy seeing the company thrive and its employees working together to ensure the success of the business. Most recently, following a restructure, I have enjoyed a completely different way of working and taking on more challenges in different areas of business. Being able to adapt at any age is important.

What your role brings to the business

I appreciate that the team have their own unique skill sets that ALM relies on.  I believe I bring experience, guidance and a point of view that may differ to the team that allows me to challenge decisions positively and productively. However, making mistakes is par for the course when learning and I still learn something new every day.

What you enjoy outside of work

I have a busy life with my two children, two dogs and many friends! I enjoy walking, nice restaurants, watching my son play rugby, working out and watching the odd film when I have the time!
